Find the Fort The Fort Lupton Historic Park and Rendezvous grounds are located along the South Platte River just north of Fort Lupton, Colorado. The new fort is located near state Highway 85 about 25 miles northeast of Denver, on the north side of the ciy of Fort Lupton. Fort Lupton city is nine miles east of Interstate 25 on Highway 52, and nine miles west of Interstate 76 on Highway 52. In Fort Lupton city, from the intersection of highway 85 and highway 52, go north on highway 85 to the intersection with the lights, 1.1 miles north of highway 52. The crossing street is labeled "14th St." on the east side and "County Rd 14 1/2" on the west side. If you approach Fort Lupton city from the north on highway 85, turn west on County Rd 14 1/2 at the light. The turnoff for the Fort is on County Road 14 1/2, west 0.15 mile from Highway 85. Turn north on Historic Place, at the truck tire service center. Rendezvous Grounds The turnoff to the rendezvous grounds -- not at the Fort but near the fort -- is 0.25 miles west of the light on County Road 14 1/2. For large events at the Fort or rendezvous grounds, parking is at the rendezvous grounds. Parking For events, park in the grass parking area on the east side of the Rendezvous grounds, not by the Fort or visitor center. You can see the Fort from there. Walk over the footbridge to the Fort. If you visit the Fort when no event is happening, you can park at the Visitor Center just past the Fort, on the west side of the road.
